New to the market is my LWB Mercedes Sprinter 314 CDI 2016. The van Is a converted delivery van with 66000 miles on the clock. I have hand crafted every part of the conversion and am excited to show it to you all.
I wanted to make the van as off grid as I could so here are the key features:
4 x 100amh AGM leisure batteries which are kept topped up by 2 x 150w solar panels. There is a 3kw inverter – charger. A DC – DC charging unit that charges your leisure batteries as you drive. There is an external hook up should you be on a campsite or wish to charge from the mains at home.
There is a 30kg LPG tank fitted under the van which feeds the Trauma combi boiler and the Thetford oven and hob so your hot water and heating needs don’t impact on your batteries. There is also an external connection for a gas BBQ. There is a Dometic 12v fridge/freezer whoich is very energuy efficient on 12v and has the converter so when hooked up it will use 240v.
To keep when it got there a Maxx fan Deluxe with remote control.
There is a 70 litre fresh water tank and a 50 litre waste water tank also under the van. There is a separate tank under the sink for drinking water which has a separate tap by the sink.
The bathroom has a Thetford C223CS cassette toilet and a shower and has a heating feed so it can be used as a drying room.
The van has side flares fitted so a full size double mattress fits across the van so even me at 6 foot 3 can sleep stretched out.
There are 3 seats at the front of the van (drivers and bench) and a fold down seat at the end of the kitchen which allows for 4 front facing seat-belted seats. The font seats turn around and there is a stowaway swing table. The side bench seat pulls out to make a small bed which is good for small children. The main bed is of aluminium construction and is in sections so It can be easily removed should you wish to carry large items in the garage.
There is a smart TV and 4g router in the seating area and a further tv connection point in the main bed area.
The worktop was made by me it is made of spalted beech and epoxy resin and is a real statement piece.
Finally there is a fiamma awning which extends to give you great cover when needed.
The van has a 12 month MOT and has just had its water pump replaced. It drives very comfortably and is easy to park with it’s reversing camera. It also has an android auto or apple car compatible stereo so playing your tunes and navigating is easy.
