Overview
So what exactly is the Bluetti EB55?
Well, it’s a pretty cool looking feature packed power plant that is fully portable and provides enough juice to charge, or supply power to, many of vanlifers favourite gadgets. It’s absolutely more than just a black (or blue) box with a couple of plug sockets. With its capacity of 537Wh and the power of 700W from its built in LifePo4 battery, the Bluetti EB55 can charge 11 gadgets simultaneously.
Both power inputs and outputs are managed by an onboard computer controlled charging system, providing superb safety from overcharging and over-discharging and maximising every watt of power to ensure you get the best from the battery.

Not only does the Bluetti EB55 fully recharge in under 2 hours, it will also recharge your Macbook Air in under 2 hours using its built in PD3.0 100w port. Own a phone with wireless charging? No problem, just put it on top of the EB55 and let it do the charging for you. No leads required. Power your Bluetooth speaker whilst you’re at the beach, get the lights charged up ready for dusk and even use it to add a boost of juice to your rolling powered cool box.
4 Ways Of Charging
With 4 different methods of charging the Bluetti EB55 there will always be a way. If you purchase the solar panel add-on then the sun is one of them. It will accept a range of 12-28 volts and up to 200 watts. You can charge whilst on the move with the included cigar lighter plug to utilise the vehicles electrical system or use the supplied mains adaptor and charge up at home, in a cafe or whilst on a site with an electric hook up. Finally, the onboard computer manages the supply from a petrol or diesel generator.
What Else Can It Be Used For?
It can be used to mitigate the need for a complex electrical install, especially if you just use your van at the weekend. If you are a full time vanlifer then it also has its uses as a mega back up supply. I am full time and believe me, on dark dreary winter days there have been many a need for emergency power when I’ve wished I had something like this Bluetti EB55 to hand!
