What I offer you here is a GMC G2500 from 1990, with a 5.7-liter V8 engine that I named Betty. rnFor a guided tour, see this little video on youtube. (Sorry for the bad English, I am a german dude) rnrnhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MnlnC9Uf-6YrnrnBetty is pretty roomy and for her age she works perfect. I bought her in March to fulfill myself a dream and drive around the U.S. in a van. 14,000 miles and 22 states later here I am. rnI want to sell her, because I will start a job here in Detroit by the 1st July and I see no necessity in driving around in a small mobile home. The van is nearly 8 foot high (fits in 8-foot parking decks) and has an automatic transmission, air conditioning in front and back and a ton of storing opportunities.rnrnFor the perfect camping trip, Betty includes: rn•tSolar panels on the roof rn•tAn electrical management systemrn•tTwo truck batteries under the bed that are charged through solar power rn•tA diesel heater under the bed (kept me warm in the Rocky Mountains and Yellowstone in April/Mai) which is powered by the batteriesrn•tAn Air exhaust the get fresh air in, also powered by the batteries rn•tA fridge, with plenty of room for food and for me as a German one or two beers that is also powered by the extra batteries rn•tA camping cooker with two fields rn•tA sink with a 5-gallon fresh water and 5-gallon grey water tank (the pump works mechanically and is powered by a lever with your foot)rn•tA bed with enough room for two (I slept in the bed with a travel buddy for the first three weeks. We are both about 200 lbs. and 6’3’’ /6’4’’ tall and both fit in it.rn•tA camping toilet (that one was pretty useful for the last four weeks, where my girlfriend joined me, and we did not had a toilet nearby at night) rn•tA CO2 detector (I recommend keeping the air exhaust running, when you fire the diesel heater at night) rn•tBlinds with magnets, so you can darken everything for the nightrn•tAdditional interior lights all over the back of the vanrnrnAdditionally, I want you get ready for your road or camping trip as fast as possible, so I will give you with the van:rnA small shovel, matches, wires for repairs at electrical components, a camping shower, a shower certain, a fire extinguisher, salt and pepper, an electrical terminal assortment kit, two propane gas bottles for the gas cooker, a lighter, jumper cables, oven gloves, solar lights for outdoors, funnels for gas or oil, a torque wrench, a towing rope, a hand brush for cleaning the floor, engine oil, transmission oil, cooling fluid, an extra 5 gallon tank for gasoline, a mosquito net, a repair manual, some cups, silverware, plates, an aluminum french press for coffee, small bowls, a pan for cooking, a big bowl for dishes, a sieve, flashlights, blankets, pillows, two camping chairs, an umbrella for the sun and probably I forgot some things, but you basically just need to buy some grocery to start your trip. rnrnI went through more than 20 national and state parks and it was awesome. Betty managed everything very good and even very uneven roads on the 17-mile drive in monument valley or hill up in Death Valley were no problem. The previous owner put some new parts in the van, and I fixed a couple of things as well. Here is a list of the things, I have a receipt about: rn•tOverworked transmission: Done at an AAMCO in April 2022 at 158,900 miles. Warranty for 18,000 miles or 18 Months.rn•tDifferential sealing: Done at an AAMCO in April 2022 at 158,900 miles. Warranty for 12,000 miles or 12 months. rn•tTires: All five tires were renewed by the previous owner in November 2021 at about 156,000 miles. rn•tTie rod end left side including front end realignment and wheel bearing repack: Renewed at 155,500 by the previous owner in September 2021rn•tOil change: Done at an AAMCO at 170,900 miles end of June 2022, so you can just get in the car and start your trip. rn•tThe previous owner put in a new climate compressor (Cold air is working very well) but I do not have a receipt, nor do I know how old it is. rn•tWindshield wiper: June 2022rn•tFluid pump for windshield: by May 2022rn•tWindow opener passenger side: by May 2022rn•tHeadlights: 2x by May 2022rnrnI really enjoyed the ride with Betty and I am looking forward to find a new owner for her that will appreciate her as much as I did on my journey. rnPlease do not send me unrealistic offers with a much lower price. I will not answer them.rnIf you have any question, feel free to shoot me a mail.rnrnCheersrnrnAndre rn rnrn
