Hey gang, I’m taking my adventuring overseas and have to part with my adventure van.
This conversion was designed for flexibility and short runs.
======= Comfort =========
It has a custom built memory foam sofa/bed that lays flat to about a queen size.
The cab is fully insulated with Thinsulate and an Espar D2 bunk heater will keep you warm (with high altitude kit to operate over 7,500ft).
======= Electrical =========
3 x Battleborn 12v 100 Ah Lithium Batteries can provide up to 2000W at 120V. They charge either from the solar panels on the roof, or from the alternator while the car is running. The electrical circuit closely follows the Standard build on faroutride.com https://faroutride.com/product/wiring-diagram/ and uses the following components:
Victron BMV-712 Precision Battery Monitor
Victron SmartSolar MPPT 100/30 (solar controller)
Sterling Power Battery to Battery Charger 12V input to 12V output up to 60amps.
2000W 120V Inverter
======= Caveats =========
I’m pricing this low because it’s not in the best cosmetic condition to show currently. I am planning on doing a the following work on it this month to clean it up, at which point I’ll price it as 55,000 USD. However, if you want it as-is, you can save me the work and get a big discount.
Planned work:
1. New brake pads.
2. Some exterior paint detailing / minor rust spot patching.
3. Interior cleaning / sanding / painting. Resurfacing the floorboards.
